Have a backyard pizza oven but still figuring out how to get the most out of it? Join the Sunrise Side Community Garden for a hands-on Pizza Oven Class with Detroit Frankie’s Pizza Truck.
Detroit Frankie will walk participants through the process of making great wood-fired pizza at home, from working with the dough to getting the most out of your oven.

Dough, cheese, oil, spices, and fresh tomatoes from the Community Garden will be provided. Participants should bring their pizza oven and fuel, along with a folding table and chairs, plates, napkins, silverware, and any extra toppings they’d like to use.
Cost: $10 per oven, cash at the class
Ages: 18+
Space is limited to 10 participants.
Advance registration is required. There is no rain date; the class will be held under a tent if the weather turns.
